Dear Sir,
Several weeks ago I lost family members in western Slavonia. Em-
boldened by the west, Croats massacred thousands of Serbs while tens
of thousands fled their homesteads in full view of the U.N. Is this a
type of ethnic cleansing sanctioned by the U.N. and the west?
Since the U.N. has confirmed that atrocities have been committed
in Croatia and Bosnia by all sides, the United States must cease secu-
rity assistance to both republics under 22 USCS S 2304(a)(2) until Hu-
man Rights issues have been settled. Singling out the Serbs in Bosnia
and attempting to isolate them from Yugoslavia before those issues are
settled is a clear violation of their Civil Rights.
As a citizen and taxpayer I am deeply concerned about our foreign
policy. I, as well as millions of Serbian Americans have families in
Bosnia and Croatia. They must be given fair and equal treatment with
full support of this country.
I suggest that this administration rethink its Bosnian policy whi-
le installing muzzles on jackasses like congressman Lantos. Yesterday,
on CNN, he referred to Dr. Karadzic as a "local thug". Open animosity
toward an elected official defending his people's Civil and Human Rig-
hts must be investigated for motives and interests involved.
Biased policy makers are steering this country toward a self des-
tructive posture on Bosnia which will result in severe violations of
Human Rights. Energy should be spent on formulation of foreign policy
similar to the one on Cyprus as set forth in 22 USCS S 2373 instead on
rhetoric aimed at deceiving the American public.
Sincerely,
Boris Pribich
